New worlds, amazing adventures, friendships, challenges, a calling, and a journey towards inner strength await young readers in this fantasy adventure novel.

"In Water Stone, Kelly Ladd Bishop takes the reader on an imaginative quest of calamity, heartbreak, tenderness, and hope that will inspire and delight. As I read, I could not help but put myself in the shoes of Alexandra, the unwitting heroine, who finds herself called to act with a strength she isn't yet sure she possesses."

Reader Reviews
“Water Stone is a beautifully written YA book that entwines adventure, growth, and transformation. I especially enjoyed that the main character, Alexandra, isn’t waiting to be rescued; she’s the one making choices, taking risks, and leading others. She shows that bravery isn’t about being fearless—it’s about facing your fears and doing what’s right anyway. Watching her grow throughout the story was inspiring. I also appreciated that the relationship between Alexandra and Nyle was built on trust and respect. (A great model for young readers to emulate in real-life!)
I enjoyed reading this book with my daughter and we both are incredibly excited to see where the story flows next!”
I highly recommend this book!
Loved this book! Beautiful world building that makes me want to visit Eloden. Easy read, definitely great for any preteens. I loved the fantasy/magical elements and it really reminded me of The Chronicles of Narnia. Can't wait to read a sequel!
You're just an ordinary teen, fulfilling all your daily obligations until one day, your parents simply aren’t there. You can’t find them, have no idea why, and suddenly, you are off on your own, in a strange, beautiful, and seemingly perfect alternate universe. But, there is always a fly in the ointment, always an element of discontent, and always innocents in need of saving. Through toils and troubles and perseverance in the face of everyday issues, you are able see through the madness and lead as needed. Adventures galore, brilliant fantastical imagery, abundant food for thought in this gripping novel intended for young readers, but is so much more. I couldn’t put it down, and can’t wait for the sequel! ENJOY!
Book 2 is in the works, and I can’t wait!
