NEW BOOK RELEASE - OCTOBER 2025

I am thrilled to announce the release of my first fiction book, Water Stone, now available in paperback and eBook!

Synopsis
Alexandra does well in school and has a job at the local ice cream shop, but her daily routines aren’t very exciting. Everything changes when she finds herself transported to a land called Eloden for an adventure she could have never imagined! At first, Eloden seems to be perfect. Hints of magic and the music of a mysterious queen fill the place and the people. But she soon discovers that one person is about to ruin everything, and the queen has brought her there to lead the people through it. The journey leads her and her new friends through lands that force them to address all kinds of questions and challenges while learning to navigate truth, lies, anger, injustice, friendship, and hope. Finding their way back to the goodness of Eloden isn’t easy, but maybe Alexandra is stronger than she thinks.

This imaginative quest blends fantasy with deeper questions about identity, courage, friendship, and redemption. April Fiet, author of The Sacred Pulse, says:

“In Water Stone, Kelly Ladd Bishop takes the reader on an imaginative quest of calamity, heartbreak, tenderness, and hope … I could not help but put myself in the shoes of Alexandra … called to act with a strength she isn’t yet sure she possesses.”
